Wild About Animals!!!

The 8th annual Wild About Animals event was provided by Centre Wildlife Care

& the Penn State Pre-Vet Club

Proceeds benefit the care of orphaned & injured wild animals at Centre Wildlife Care

Wow...We had a huge turnout at the Ag Arena on Saturday, April 7th for the
Wild About Animal event.  We estimate 2000 to 2500 people attended the event.

We raised $15,000 for Centre Wildlife Care.  Since we care for close to 1000 wild animal per year, this will be a huge help.  The event brought in 50% more than last year.  Yes....50%...!!!   The event was a huge success.

We had local celebrities like Fred Metzger From Metzger Animal Hospital, Jerry Fisher from Joe FM, Erika Isler, from State College Magazine and Zippy the Zebra from 3WZ.

They were part of the feed the wildlife campaign which was new this year.  They had to get bailed out of the cage or they would be fed the tiger from T&D Cats of the World.  Becky Neely from Royal Pet Resort purchased (from a local grocery store) a chicken (to represent Erika) and a Turkey (to represent Fred Metzger) to feed to the Tiger.  The Tiger didn't like the Turkey...but found the chicken quite tasty...sorry Erika.

Thank you all for your support this year!
